What is browser cache?
Browser Cache is essentially data from your website stored in the browser memory which is used when site is reloaded.
 
Chrome Desktop   View the Online Reference
  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click More.
  • Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  • At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  • Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  • Click Clear data.
 
Chrome Mobile   View the Online Reference
  • On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
  • At the top right, tap More.
  • Tap History > Clear browsing data.
  • At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  • Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  • Tap Clear data.
 
Edge Desktop   View the Online Reference
  • Open Microsoft Edge.
  • Select Settings and more (the icon that looks like three dots).
  • Select Settings.
  • In the Settings sidebar, select Privacy and services.
  • Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
 
Edge Mobile   View the Online Reference
  • Launch Microsoft Edge on Android.
  • Tap on horizontal 3 dots icon for options menu.
  • Select the Settings menu from the list.
  • Under the settings menu, scroll down halfway and tap on the Privacy and Security tab.
  • Now scroll down to the extreme bottom and select the Clear browsing data option.
  • Enable the checkbox for Browser history.
  • Tap on the Clear command button at the bottom to delete the History.
Firefox Desktop   View the Online Reference
  • Tap the menu icon located at the top right corner.
  • Tap Settings.
  • After that, you will be taken to the settings screen.
  • You will then be taken to a list of what can be cleared.
  • After those have been selected, tap the Clear data button to actually clear the cache and cookies.
 
Firefox Mobile   View the Online Reference
  • On Android, tap the three-dot menu button at the upper-right corner of the Firefox app, then tap Settings. On iOS, tap the three-lined hamburger menu in the lower-right corner, then tap Settings.
  • Select Clear private data on Android, or Data Management on iOS.
  • Select Cache and any other items you want to clear.
  • Choose Clear Data on Android. For iOS, select Clear Private Data, and then OK.
 
Opera Desktop   View the Online Reference
  • In the title bar of the browser window click on the "Opera" or on the "Menu" button.
  • In the following menu 'Settings' chose the item 'Data and Security'.
  • Below the Headline ‘Privacy’ you'll find the button ‘Delete Browser data’.
  • After clicking that button a new window opens.
  • Select the time period 'since Installation' to delete the whole browser cache.
  • Enable the checkbox next to ‘Images and Files in Cache’.
  • Confirm your settings with the Button ‘Delete Browser data’.
  • Reload the website.
 
Safari MacIntosh   View the Online Reference
  1. It is a bit tricky in Safari. First, you will need to enable ‘Develop’ Menu in Menu Bar. If you have enabled Develop Menu, skip to Step 3.
  2. Go to Safari > Preferences in Menu Bar.
  3. Open the ‘Advanced’ Tab and enable the ‘Enable Develop Menu in Menu Bar’ option.
  4. Go to ‘Develop’ menu in the menu bar.
  5. Select the ‘Empty Cache’ option.
 
Safari Mobile   View the Online Reference
  • Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
  • Scroll down and tap on ‘Safari’.
  • Now scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on ‘Advanced’.
  • Tap on ‘Website Data’
  • Scroll to the bottom again and tap on ‘Remove All Website Data’.
  • Confirm one more time you'd like to delete all data.
